Do You Need a Consultant?
A consultant is not for everybody; everybody does not need a consultant.
However, think we can help most contracting firms do a better job, and here are some questions you can ask yourself to help determine whether you may have need for outside expertise.
You need a consultant when:
- Your business is growing in revenue but your profit is not growing at the same rate.
- You have losses that you do not understand.
- You are looking at adding a new revenue profit center, acquiring another business or developing a business plan.
- You don’t know how to figure break-even in your business.
- You would like to analyze your key employees payroll structure and compare it to your competition.
- You are unable to motivate and/or hold existing employees accountable for what you want them to do.
- You need more meaningful accounting reports and budgets to actual comparisons to make you a smarter owner.
- You don’t know your true labor costs plus labor burden.
- You are unable to figure your overhead percentage.
- Cash flow has a strangle hold on your business, and accounts receivables collection is a problem.
- You are designing an incentive plan, commission structure, or just looking for improved overall communication in general.
